Diane Arbus
I was intrigued by this particular photo that Diane captures named, "Woman Caring Child in Central Park", because of the perspective the photo was taken in. I love how her main focus is the woman and child, blurring out the background I am assuming purposely to make them her focal point of this picture. Also, I like how the mother is holding her child oddly different than the usual way a child of his age is likely to be held by a parent. She is almost cradling him like an infant when the child is of obvious age older than an infant or toddler. The scene looks like it is taking place during fall or winter, because of the way the woman and child are layered in clothing. I thought this was one of Diane's softer looking pictures that she has taken, yet captures powerful facial expressions and can tell many different stories all inside of this single captured photo.
