Pail Gauguin - "The Artists Mother"

This painting is called "Landscape with Two Breton Women". Paul Gauguin created it in 1889. On the right is a women who appears to be praying but is actually eating. She has fruit in her left hand and a knife on the other hand. I liked the other work of Paul Gauguin but I like this one specifically. I like this painting because of the bright colors in the background. In a lot of the paintings by Gauguin the people seem to be the main focus but in this one it looks like the focus is shared.
