The King's Wife
This painting is called "The King's Wife", it was created by Paul Gauguin in 1895. In 1891, Gauguin sought to leave the European society by traveling to Tahiti for personal and creative freedom. He soon found it was already colonized when going their so he choose to live with the natives. I choose this painting because it reminded me of a more indigenous version of the titanic scene. I do love the contrasting colors the brighten the whole piece.
