Paul Gauguin: Te Aa No Areois Aka The Seed Of Areoi
I like how Paul Gaugin used bright colors. During the time of this painting, Tahiti was being reformed by the French. There is a lot of imagery in this painting, showing the beauty of Tahiti before it was modernized. I chose this image because of the colors. The bright colors were used to show the women as pure and close to nature. The women in this painting, Tehura as Vaïraümati, was said to be Gaugin's mistress during his stay in Tahiti.
