Paul Gauguin's Island Painting

I liked this Gauguin painting because I felt like it had a very warm atmosphere. It seems like some sort of tropical island of some sort, and I've always liked warm climates. I also liked the colors he chose to use in this painting. When I look at this painting, I think of somewhere in the Caribbean or perhaps somewhere in the Pacific. I also observed the man in the painting carrying something, which gives me the impression that this man may be near his farm or something.
