Paul Guaguin Parau na te Varua ino (Words of the Devil), 1892
This painting Parau ne the Varua into (Words of the Devil) created in 1892 by Paul Gauguin really stood out to me out of all the paintings he has. The reason why I like this one is for the colors and how vibrant they are. Another thing that stood out was the woman who was naked and seemed almost creeped out that someone was looking and painting her. You can tell the woman doesn't feel all that comfortable given her face expression and the way she is covering her private areas. I am curious as to what the man may be doing in the back, is that her lover? Random man? This painting all around is very beautiful.
