Shoes & The Villa
For the first photo, I had taken a picture of the shoes hanging on an electric cable wire in my neighborhood. The sky was a little bit beige that day, so I chose to emphasize on the beige-ness in the background. The picture makes me feels somewhat curious as to whose shoes these were and how or why they ended up on a random cable line, so I guess the overall feeling I would get from this picture is curiosity and some regret (since its usually dead people whose shoes are thrown over street wires). For the second photo, I basically took a photo of the villa on the MSMC campus. It was a very clear kind of blue-sky day out, so I tried to depict it as best as I could in the background. The picture itself almost reminds me of a church-like setting, giving me a euphoric, conscious feeling. Overall, I think the second picture had more detail than the first, therefore it has more depth and thought behind it. When I see the first picture, I think of a melancholy day for some strange reason. When I see the second picture, I think of a mysterious day full of optimism.
