Tahitian Landscape
This painting is called Tahitian Landscape, and was painted by Paul Gauguin in 1897. I chose this painting because while looking through other paintings by Gauguin, this one stood out the most to me. The most noticeable part of the painting was the bright yellow in the bottom left. I like how that yellow slowly transitions to light orange, and then to light green. The reds, oranges, and yellows give the painting a warm feeling, but it contrasts nicely with the blue sky. If the sky were also a warm color, the painting would not feel as balanced.
